Station Road (Deepcar) - Prohibition of Vehicles
What is happening?
SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) and
Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure
Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/1215)
Station Road (Deepcar) (Prohibition of Vehicles) Order 2025 and
STO/35 (Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2025 (“the Orders”)
1. Sheffield City Council gives notice that it proposes to make the Orders under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 and any other enabling powers over areas of the highway named in the schedules to this notice.
2. The Orders are needed because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the said highway.
3. If the Orders are made, the Orders shall come into operation on 3 March 2025 and shall remain in force for a period of four weeks. The duration of the Orders can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The restrictions specified will only have effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of notices.
4. While the Orders are in operation: they will prohibit any person from allowing any vehicle to proceed in the areas of highway as described in schedule 1 of this notice. They will also prohibit any pedestrian, person using a pedal cycle, person on horseback or leading a horse from travelling in the length of footpath as described in schedule 2 of this notice.
5. The alternative route for the traffic affected by the restrictions on the highway described in schedule 2 of this notice will be via STO/35A.
6. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times.

Station Road (Deepcar) from STO/35 to a point approximately 150m in a southeasterly direction (end of the public highway)
Schedule 2
STO/35 (including STO/PERMBW/10) from Station Road to STO/35A.
