NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESTRICTED BYWAY ON GREEN LANE, SKERTON, LANCASTER
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order, made on 22 January 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by recording a restricted byway known as Green Lane from an open 'T' junction with Green Lane U18462 immediately north of Beaumont Hall Canal Bridge running in an east north easterly direction along a track on the north side of the Lancaster Canal past a junction with Footpath FP0131007 and continuing to the junction with FP0115019 from where it continues, turning north along the continuation of Green Lane U18785.
The total length of the route is 0.34 km and the width varies between 3.5m and 7m

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing by email to

or by letter to Annabel Mayson, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/888.2216/AM15) not later than 03 April 2025 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
