ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

VARIOUS ROADS AT ASTON SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the six parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for periods of time between Monday 3rd. March and Monday 28th. April 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets except for cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (gas main renewal).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Finch Rise from its junction with The Chase and its junction with Woodpecker Close.

(ii)   Woodpecker Close from its junction with Windsor Rise to the end of the  cul de sac.

(iii)   Robin Place from its junction with The Chase to the end of the cul de sac.

(iv)   Swallow Lane from its junction with The Chase to the end of the cul de sac.

(v)   Bluebird Hill from its junction with The Chase for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction.

(vi)   Partridge Place from its junction with The Chase to the end of the cul de sac.

MIDDLEFIELDS DRIVE AND MOORLANDS VIEW WHISTON ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Middlefields Drive and Moorlands View for periods of time between Monday 3rd. March and Monday 24th. March 20245.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order. Limited access will be maintained for residents.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the two parts of road (Gas main renewals).

PART OF A6123 ALDWARKE LANE RAWMARSH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6123 Aldwarke Lane from its junction with Waddington Way to its junction with the new roundabout eastern kerb line from 11pm on Tuesday 25th. February until 6am on Wednesday 26th. February 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via Aldwarke Lane, Aldwarke Road, Great Eastern Way Roundabout, Great Eastern Way, Taylors Lane Roundabout,

Rotherham Road, Rotherham Road Roundabout, Rawmarsh Road, St Anns Road, Grafton Bridge Roundabout, St Anns Roundabout, Fitzwilliam Road, Mushroom Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (bridge inspection).

PART OF A6123 ALDWARKE LANE RAWMARSH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6123 Aldwarke Lane from its junction with the new roundabout and proceeding in a north easterly direction to its junction with the Great Eastern roundabout from 7pm until 11pm on Monday 24th. February 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via Aldwarke Lane, Aldwarke Road, Great Eastern Way Roundabout, Great Eastern Way, Taylors Lane Roundabout, Rotherham Road, Rotherham Road Roundabout, Rawmarsh Road, St Anns Road, Grafton Bridge Roundabout, St Anns Roundabout, Fitzwilliam Road, Mushroom Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (renew manhole covers and frames).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Pigeon Bridge Way outside property numbers 20 to 28 on Friday 7th. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Pigeon Bridge Way, Grange Farm Drive, Parklands View and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street 30m either side of the rail crossing from 11.45pm on Saturday  22nd. February until 7am on Sunday 23rd. February 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by the order. Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (level crossing maintenance).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6123 Aldwarke Lane between the two rail bridges and the new roundabout from Monday 3rd. March until Thursday 6th. March 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A6123 Aldwarke Lane,

Aldwarke Road, Great Eastern Way Roundabout, Great Eastern Way, Taylors Lane

Roundabout, Rotherham Road, Rotherham Road Roundabout, Rawmarsh Road,  St Anns Road, Grafton Bridge Roundabout, St Anns Roundabout, Fitzwilliam Road, Mushroom Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (installation of safety fencing).

PART OF B6066 HIGHFIELD SPRING WAVERLEY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6066 Highfield Spring between Mitchell Way roundabout and Highfield Lane roundabout from Wednesday 5th. March until Friday 7th. March 2025 between 8pm and 6am each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Highfield Lane, Orgreave Lane, Handsworth Road, Sheffield Parkway, Rotherham Gateway, Rotherham Gateway Europa Way Exit Slip Road, Europa Link, Poplar Way, Poplar Way Rotherham Gateway Roundabout, Poplar Way Roundabout, Highfield Spring, Highfield Spring Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (drainage works on the carriageway).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Ulley Lane from its junction with A618 Pleasley Road to its junction with Reservoir Road from Monday 3rd. March until Friday 7th. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Reservoir Road, A618 Pleasley Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (culvert works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the six parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for periods of time between Monday 3rd. March and Friday 30th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets except for cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i)    St. Leonards Avenue from its junction with Musgrove Avenue to the end of the cul de sac

(ii)   Bowen Road from its junction with St Leonards Avenue to its junction with Vale Road.

(iii)   Well Drive from its junction with St Leonards Avenue to the end of the cul de sac.

(iv)   St. Leonards Drive at its junction with St Leonards Avenue.

(v)   Reresby Road at its junction with St Leonards Avenue.

February until Monday  31st. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Far Lane, Broadway East, Dene Crescent and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Herringthorpe Grove from its junction with A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road to the end of the cul de sac for a period of up to 1 week between Monday 3rd. March and Monday 31st. March 2025. NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less  than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of  which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Heather Close from its junction with A618 Moorgate Road to the end of the cul de sac from Monday  3rd. March until Friday 7th. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (resurfacing of footways).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to:-

1.     Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Wilfred Street from its junction with Westgate for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction from Monday 3rd. March until Friday 21st. March 2025.

       NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Westgate, A6178 Canklow Road, A6178 Alma Road, A618 Moorgate Road and Moorgate Street.

2.     Temporarily suspend the One Way Order relating to Wilfred Street to allow limited access to business premises located on Wilfred Street from Monday 3rd. March until Friday 21st. March 2025.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Main Street from a point approximately 400m east of the eastern kerb line of Bib Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction from 11pm on Saturday 1st. March until 8am on Sunday 2nd. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Rose Lane, Rotherham Lane, High Street, Hooton Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Rail bridge works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Dun Street in any direction other than a southerly direction from its junction with A6022 Bridge Street for a distance of 75m in a south easterly direction from Monday  24th. February until Sunday 23rd. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Walker Street, New Station Road and A6022 Bridge Street.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle over 3 tonnes gross weight from proceeding along that part of Rotherham Road from its junction with A57 Mosborough Parkway for a distance of approximately 180m in a south easterly direction from Saturday  1st. March 2025 until Tuesday 1st. September 2026

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected will be via A57 Mosborough Parkway, B6053 Eckington Way, Drake House Lane, West Street, High Street, Rotherham Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (To protect the structural integrity of Fleet bridge).
