(Water Street, Portwood) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Notice 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Water Street, Portwood from the junction with Marsland Street in a northerly direction for approximately 30 metres and at Marsland Street, Portwood from the junction with Water Street in an easterly direction for approximately 30 metres, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road.
This Order is necessary to allow for works to replace gas mains.
It is estimated these works will last fifteen days. A diversion will be provided via Water Street, Tiviot Way, Portwood Roundabout, Marsland Street, vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on the 17 March 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: AP/6634012
