TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD
ORDER 2025
On the 6 February 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict the vehicular access on a section of Clarkston Road, Clarkston, from Clarkston Toll up to the access to Clarkston Car Park, in order to facilitate the safe operation of Network Rail structural works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried overnight from 9PM on Friday 7th March to 6AM on Sunday 16th March 2025.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Diversion Routes: Clarkston Road – Old Castle Road – Manse Brae – Menock Road – Carmunnock Road – Carmunnock By-Pass – Carmunnock Road – East Kilbride Road – Main Street – Busby Road And Busby Road – Main Street – East Kilbride Road – Carmunnock Road – Carmunnock By-Pass – Carmunnock Road – Menock Road – Manse Brae – Delvin Road – Clarkston Road.
