NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ADDITION OF FOOTPATH FROM VALLEY ROAD, HOGHTON BOTTOMS, OVER FOOTBRIDGE ACROSS RIVER DARWEN
Definitive Map Modification Order 2023
On the 20th day of May 2024 Lancashire County Council confirmed the above Order.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by recording a Footpath from north end of Valley Road (U9063) adjacent to gable end of 7 Valley Road running north east across a rough tarmacked area direct to a metal footbridge crossing the River Darwen to the junction with Footpath FP0918012. The length of the route is 30 metres.

The Order took effect on the 20 May 2024 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
