What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 The East Sussex (U6434 New England Lane, Rye)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

New England Lane – for its entire length.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 6 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3136 Archery Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Archery Road – from the junction with U3136 Archery Road to the junction with U3135 Highlands Gardens.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3136 Archery Road – U3106 West Hill Road – U3110 Boscobel Road, Pevensey Road – U3135 Highlands Gardens and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Three Oaks Road – from the junction with P6827 Eighteen Pounder Lane to the junction with C22 The Moor.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Three Oaks Road – C638 Rock Lane – U3246 Red Lake Terrace – A259 Rye Road – B2093 Old London Road, The Ridge, Conquest roundabout, The Ridge – A2100 The Ridge, The Ridge West, Beauport Park roundabout, Battle Road, Hastings Road, Battle Hill, Lower Lake – C94 Marley Lane – A21(T) New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane – C22 Moor Lane, The Moor and vice versa.

The Order commences 5 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 and 6 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Lane, Guestling and Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Chowns Hill – from the junction with B2093 The Ridge to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane.

Diversion via B2093 The Ridge, Old London Road – A259 Rye Road – A259(T) Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road, Rye Road – C22 Butchers Lane – C639 Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.

Ivyhouse Lane – from the junction with B2093 The Ridge to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane.

Diversion via C639 Chowns Hill – B2093 The Ridge and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 3 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 7 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6531 Collington Lane East, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Collington Lane East – from the junction with U6529 Eden Drive to the junction with U6533 Cranston Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6531 Collington Lane East – B2098 Sutherland Avenue – U6533 Cranston Avenue.

The Order commences 19 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C20 Shoreham Lane, Ewhurst)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following

length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Shoreham Lane – from the junction with C620 Dagg Lane to the junction with C19 Bodiam Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C620 Dagg Lane – C19 Bodiam Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 27 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6954 New England Lane, Sedlescombe)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

New England Lane – from the junction with A21(T) Whydown Hill to the junction with C22 Harts Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A271 Upper Horsebridge Road – B2104 London Road – C208 Hawks Road – A21(T) Whydown Hill, New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road – C22 Chapel Hill, Cottage Lane, Harts Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Freckley Hollow – from the junction with U7699 Skinners Lane to the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A271 Kitchenham Road – B2204 Tellis Coppice, Horns Corner, The Green – U7699 Skinners Lane and vice versa.

The Order commenced 2 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6522 Collington Lane West, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Collington Lane West – from the junction with P6609 Lake House Close to the junction with U6523 Bicton Gardens.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6522 Collington Lane West – U6527 Birkdale – U6522 Collington Lane West and vice versa.

The Order commences 14 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 14 and 17 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Cottage Lane – from the junction with U6961 Mill Lane to the junction with C22 Harts Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6975 Cottage Lane – A28 Main Road – C22 Wheel Lane, Harts Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 17 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 21 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3158 St Johns Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

St Johns Road – from the junction with U3157 Church Road to the junction with U3159 Magdalen Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3157 Church Road – U3158 Blomfield Road – U3159 Magdalen Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 20 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 20 and 21 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C295 Houghton Green Lane, Playden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Houghton Green Lane – from the junction with U6414 Houghton Lane to the junction with A268 Rye Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C295 Houghton Green Lane – C296 Military Road – A268 Rye Hill, Rye Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 17 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 20 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C638 Rock Lane, Guestling)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rock Lane – from the junction with U6971 Eight Acre Lane to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C638 Rock Lane – U3246 Red Lake Terrace – A259 Rye Road – B2093 Old London Road, The Ridge – C639 Chowns Hill, Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.

The Order commenced 16 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Forewood Lane – from the junction with P6661 Station Road to the junction with U6945 Forewood Rise.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Forewood Lane, Telham Lane – A2100 Hastings Road, Battle Road, Beauport Park roundabout, The Ridge West – A2690 Queensway – C93 Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road, Forewood Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Robertsbridge)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Knelle Road – from Gerrans to Wyverne.

Langham Road – from the junction with U6982 Knelle Road to Conaways. Diversion via U6982 Langham Road, Bellhurst Road – C18 Station Road – U6982 Knelle Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 19 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

U6745 Woodsgate Park, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures

Gunters Lane and West Down Road – from the junction with P6616 Old Mill Park to the junction with U6582 Broadoak Lane.

Diversion via U6586 West Down Road – A259(T) Little Common Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A269 London Road, Ninfield Road – C346 Turkey Road – U6589 Gunters Lane and vice versa.

Woodsgate Park – at the junction with U6589 Gunters Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

Diversion via U6745 Woodsgate Park – U6588 Down Road – A259(T) Little Common Road – U6586 West Down Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 17 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 19 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
