Fairbrother Street - Prohibition of Waiting, Limited Waiting Parking Places, Goods Vehicle Loading Bay and Amendment
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council has made the City of Salford (Fairbrother Street, The Quays) (Prohibition of Waiting, Limited Waiting Parking Places, Goods Vehicle Loading Bay and Amendment) Order 2025.
The Order introduces the following provisions:
No Waiting at Any Time on - Fairbrother Street (i) south west side, from Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 10m (ii) south west side, from 24m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 3m (iii) south west side, from 57m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 23.5m (iv) south west side, from 92.5m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 4m (v) south west side, from 108.5m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 7.4m (vi) north east side, from Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 115m:
Limited Waiting Parking Place - At All Time on All Days, Waiting Limited to 1 Hour, no return within 2 hours - Fairbrother Street (i) south west side, from 27m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 30m (ii) south west side, from 80.5m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 12m (iii) south west side, from 96.5m south east of Ordsall Lane south easterly for 12m (all bays having a width throughout of 2m)
Goods Vehicle Loading Parking Place, At All Time on All Days - Fairbrother Street, south west side, from 10m south east of Ordsall Lane, south easterly for 14m (having a width throughout of 2.4m).
An existing Order will be amended accordingly. The Order was made on 4 February 2025 and will come into effect on 21 February 2025
A copy of the Order, plan and a copy of the Order that has been amended are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 4 February 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
