What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Road Leading to Tunstall - Brough with St Giles, Order 2025, No. 47

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using an approximate 100 metres length of Road Leading to Tunstall - Brough with St Giles leading southwards from its junction with the A6136 Catterick Road for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 03/03/25 & 17/04/25, due to works to construct a roundabout at the junction. However, the max duration of this Order is until 28/11/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. 20 Mph & 30 Mph Speed Limit, Appleton Wiske, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that on 07/02/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 & 30 mph on any length of road specified below- Part 1 - Proposed 20 mph Speed Limit (C2) Front Street, from its junction with Hornby Road for a distance of 530 metres in a Southerly direction. (U1887) Baker Street from its junction with Hornby Road to its junction with Front Street. (U1886) Prospect View West from its junction with Hornby Road to its junction with Front Street. (U2069) Hunters Ride from its junction with Front Street for its entirety. (U2099) The Paddock from its junction with Hunters Ride for its entirety. Part 2 - Proposed 30 mph Speed Limit. Hornby Road from the existing national speed limit 90 metres from the access to Hill House Farm for a distance of 678 metres in an Easterly direction. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 17/02/25, may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Northallerton Library, 1 Thirsk Road, Northallerton DL6 1PT during normal office hours from 14/02/25 until 21 /03/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traflio-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under It, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 07/02/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Sandy Bank to Crosby New Bridge, Crosby, Order 2025, No. 50

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Sandy Bank to Crosby New Bridge, Crosby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 03/03/25 & 10/05/25, due to bridge repair works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 31/05/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Willow Bridge Lane, Dalton & B1363 Jack Lane Stillington, Order 2025, No. 54

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using C168, Willow Bridge Lane, Dalton & B1363, Jack Lane, Stillington for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 01/03/25 & 31/03/26, due to bridge parapet repairs. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
