(Chichester: Corporate Challenge Event)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the following lengths of roads:-

North Street – between St Peters and East Street

East Street – between North Street and East Walls

East Walls – between East Street and Priory Road

Priory Road – between East Walls ad St Peters

St Peters – between Priory Road and North Street

St Martins Square – the entire length St Martins Street – the entire length

The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Chichester Corporate Challenge Events 2025. The above-mentioned roads form the route to be taken by the competitors. The Order will be operative on 5 March 2025, 19 March 2025 and 5 April 2025 and roads will be closed from 1800 hours until 2100 hours.

Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained. Marshalls will allow vehicular access when safe to do so.

 (Graffham – South Ambersham: New Road)

(Temporary Day-Time Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close a length of New Road, South Ambersham between Selham Road and Topleigh Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway gully cleansing works are undertaken.

The Order came into effect on 3 March 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 3 March 2025 daily between 0930 hours and 1530 hours and will take 1 week to complete.

(Clapham, Patching and Findon: Long Furlong (A280))

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20Mph speed limit throughout the whole length of Long Furlong (A280) in the parishes of Clapham, Patching and Findon.

These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

 (Chichester: Orchard Gardens)

(Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit driving (except for access to/from residential addresses) between 0800 and 0900 hours and between 1430 hours and 1600 hours, Monday to Friday on Orchard Gardens to form a School Street.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any objections or comments about the proposal must be received by 6 March 2025. These may be sent via the response form on the website, in writing to: TRO Team, WSCC, County Hall, Chichester, PO19 1RH; or by e-mail to: tro.consultation@ westsussex.gov.uk. (Linch: Hollycombe Lane & Cinder Lane)

(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2025 NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close:-

(i)  Hollycombe Lane from Hollycombe House to Elmers Marsh Lane; and

(ii) Cinder Lane from Hollycombe Lane to Dog Kennel Cottage The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst fibre optic cabling works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 17 February 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated that the works will commence on 17 February 2025 between 0930 and 1530 hours and will take 12 days to complete.
