Bolton Road, Salford - Temporary Road Closure for Essential Works to Be Done
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made the following Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (BOLTON ROAD, SALFORD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The Order will close the following roads restricting access to the A666 Bolton Road:
• Elizabeth Street in a north-eastern direction for a distance of 65 metres.
• Hall Street in a north-eastern direction for a distance of 55 metres.
• Mossfield Road in a north-eastern direction for a distance of 37 metres.
• B5231 Station Road in a north-eastern direction for a distance of 46 metres.
• Queensway in a south-western direction for a distance of 235 metres.
The Order is necessary for essential works to be done.
Diversion routes will be via-
B5231 Station Road - A6 Chorley Road - A6 Manchester Road
Billy Lane - Rake Lane - Lumns Lane - A6044 Agecroft Road
The Order is intended to come into operation on the 22nd of February 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed Sunday 16th March 2025. The road closures will be in place over 4 consecutive weekends:
• 8:00am 22/02 - 6:00am 24/02/25
• 8:00am 01/03 - 5:00pm 02/03/25
• 8:00am 08/03 - 5:00pm 09/03/25
• 8:00am 15/03 - 5:00pm 16/03/25
A copy of the Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive.
