What is happening?

ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 10 February 2025 made the following Order The Kingston upon Thames (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2025 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended –
  2. The general effect of the Order will continue in force indefinitely The Kingston upon Thames (Prescribed Routes) (Amendment No. 46) Experimental Order 2023, which introduced a "Pedestrian and Cycle Zone" as part of the "School Streets" initiative in Ellingham Road, Chessington (Ellingham Road, Primary School), between Bolton Road and its south-eastern extremity which will operate between 8.15am and 9.15am and between 2.30pm and 3.30pm Monday to Friday school term time only.
  3. Copies of The Kingston upon Thames (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2025 which will come into force 17 February 2025, the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and Map Schedules may be inspected as follows:

    (a) online at https://www.kingston.gov.uk/unmade-traffic-management-orders reference MOKing334 – Ellingham Road, Chessington

    (b) Council libraries;

    (c) copies of the made Order can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); and

    (d) emailing tmo@kingston.gov.uk please quote ref MOKing334.

  4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
