Dormington, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1144 From Longworth Mill To C1292, Dormington, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1144 From Longworth Mill To C1292, Dormington, from the junction of the C1292 to the property 'Stile Cottage'. Grid Ref: 357211/238891.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1144 onto the C1130, onto the A438, onto the C1144 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to drainage works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of February 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
