Westbury Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4361 Westbury Street, Leominster, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4361 Westbury Street, Leominster, from the junction of South Street to the junction of Ryelands Road. Grid Ref: 349531/258864.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Dishley Street onto the A44, onto the A49, onto Southern Avenue, onto Hereford Road, onto South Street and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 12th of March 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 nights.
