OAKLEY ROAD, CLAPHAM 24 – 116
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Oakley Road, Clapham outside 25. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00hours from 24th February 2025 to 26th February 2025
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Oakley Road, Paula Radcliffe Way, Highfield Road, Milton Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Newnham Avenue, Bedford from the junction of Beresford Road.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate tree trimming and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours 24th February 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Keeley Lane, Wootton from Hall End Lane to Wootton Road.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the installation of a new foul water sewer and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 10th March 2025 to 30th March 2025 Access will be maintained from Hall End Road for residents and emergency vehicles Equestrians are advised not to use this road due to the nature of works and machinery that will be present on site. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, from proceeding along Queens Road, Colmworth.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00 hours from 12th March 2025 to 14th March 2025

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(WOOD END ROAD AND TITHE ROAD, KEMPSTON RURAL)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30th January 2025 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:-
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce “No waiting at any time” restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road:
A Tithe Road, Kempston Rural
(i) On its south-western kerb, extending from a point approx.
31 metres north-west of the projected centre of Wood End Road (the end of the existing ‘No waiting at any time’ restriction) for a distance of approx. 28 metres in a north-westerly direction.
B Wood End Road, Kempston Rural
(i) On both sides, extending from a point approx. 40 metres southwest of the south-west side of Tithe Road (the end of the existing ‘No waiting at any time’ restriction) for a distance of approx.
22.8 metres in a south-westerly direction.
Date of Operation: This Order will come into force on 3rd February 2025 or as soon as practicable after this date.
A copy of the Order may be examined during normal office hours at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP. It will also be available for viewing on the council’s website at www.bedford.gov.uk/ implementedtro.
High Court Challenge: Any person who desires to question the validity of this Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date of this Notice, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
A 20MPH SPEED LIMIT ON DUCK END LANE IN WILSTEAD Reason for Proposal:
Following a request from Wilstead Parish Council, Bedford Borough Council proposes to reduce the speed limit to 20mph in Duck End Lane, Wilstead.
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit covering the entire adopted length of Duck End Lane in Wilstead.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN MAGNOLIA CLOSE, KEMPSTON Reason for Proposal:
Bedford Borough Council has received a request from Ward Councillors for some new parking restrictions in Magnolia Close, Kempston. The proposal below is aimed at helping to maintain visibility and access in a congested street.
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road:
A Magnolia Close, Kempston
(i) On its northern kerb, extending from the projected boundary between nos. 32 and 34 Magnolia Close for a distance of approx. 25 metres in a westerly direction.
(ii) On its southern kerb, extending from the projected boundary between nos. 77 and 79 Whitebeam Close for a distance of approx. 18 metres in a westerly direction.
