The Council of the City of Wakefield propose to make the above order under their powers in the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which, in relation to Horsefair & Finkle Street, Pontefract will be to introduce a one-way street system on part of Horsefair from its junction with the internal access serving Pontefract Bus Station (formerly Trinity Street) in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Finkle Street, and the full length of Finkle Street from its junction with Horsefair in a north-westerly direction from its projected southern kerbline of Stuart Road. We are also proposing to introduce a short section of Bus Lane on Horsefair, to prevent vehicles accessing Horsefair through the Bus Station.
