What is happening?
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)
ACKROYD DRIVE – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:
Location: Ackroyd Drive, southwest from its junction with Bow Common Lane for approximately 40 metres.
Reason: For crane operation works to be carried out on the public highway by Utility Construction Ltd.
Period: Monday 24th March 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Bow Common Lane, Portia Way, Burdett Road and Ackroyd Drive.

ADLER STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:Location: Adler Street between its junction with Whitechapel Road and Mulberry Street.
Please Note: Adler Street between its junction with Mulberry Street and Commercial Road and Whitechurch Lane from its junction with Whitechapel Road to Commercial Road will be used as a contingency closure.
Reason: To facilitate the safe movement of crowds at the memorial event in Altab Ali Park.
Period: From Thursday 20th February 2025 to Friday 21st February 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Fieldgate Street, Plumbers Row, Coke Street, Weyhill Road and Commercial Road.

CABLE STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Council of London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:Location: Cable Street, west from its junction with Ensign Street to its junction with Dock Street. The one-way traffic order (westbound) will be suspended between Ensign Street and Back Church Lane.
Reason: For defect remedial reinstatement works to be carried out on the public highway by Thames Water.
Period: Tuesday 18th February 2025 to Wednesday 19th February 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Back Church Lane, Commercial Road, Whitechapel High Street, Leman Street, Dock Street and Ensign Street.

EDWIN STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Council of London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:Location: Edwin Street between its junction with Cephas Street to its junction with Nicholas Road.
Reason: For water piping works to be carried out on the public highway by J Browne Construction on behalf of Thames Water.
Period: Monday 10th February 2025 to Monday 3rd March 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Cephas Street, Cephas Avenue and Nicholas Road.

MARSH WALL E14 – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Council of London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:Location: Marsh Wall, northwest from the Britannia International Hotel.
Reason: To support the TC3-E Tower crane operation works. Works are to be carried out by Select Plant Hire Ltd.
Period: Friday 21st February 2025 to Sunday 23rd February 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Westferry Road, Manchester Road, Marsh Wall and Vice Versa.

TILLER ROAD – BANNED TURNING – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Council of London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:Location: Banned Left Turn into Westferry Road from Tiller Road.
Reason: For new water connection works to take place on the public highway. The works are to be carried out by Morrisons Water Services.
Period: Wednesday 12th February 2025 to Thursday 20th February 2025.
Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Westferry Road (northbound), Westferry Circus, Westferry Road (southbound).
