What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council 

(Various Locations, Carlton) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (G25-014)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton in the Borough of Gedling. The effects of the Order will be: 

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Orlando Drive, Carlton - For its entire length 

b. Ranmoor Road, Carlton - For its entire length 

c. Dale Avenue, Carlton - For its entire length

d. Dale Road, Carlton - For its entire length

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading or Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road 

a. Orlando Drive, Carlton - For its entire length 

b. Ranmoor Road, Carlton - For its entire length

c. Dale Avenue, Carlton - For its entire length 

d. Dale Road, Carlton - For its entire length 

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place. 

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 09:00 hours until 15:30 hours only From Friday 14th February until Wednesday 12th March 2025. 

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: 

a. Orlando Drive, Carlton - No alternative route available

b. Ranmoor Road, Carlton - Main Road - Duncroft Avenue - Vernon Road and vice versa

c. Dale Avenue, Carlton - No alternative route available 

d. Dale Road, Carlton - No alternative route available

The Order will come into force on 14th February 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months). 

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry carriageway patching works.
