What is happening?

Kirklees Council - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

(Lynndale Avenue, Birkby, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lynndale Avenue, Birkby, from a point outside property no. 14 Lynndale Avenue, to a point outside property no. 30 Lynndale Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lynndale Avenue, Storths Road, Bromley Road, Grimscar Avenue, Lynndale Avenue and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 February 2025 and remain in force until 24 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to18 months if necessary).


(Birchencliffe Hill Road, Lindley, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Birchencliffe Hill Road, from its junction with East Street for approximately 30 metres North East along Birchencliffe Hill Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Birchencliffe Hill Road, Halifax Road, East Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 February 2025 and remain in force for until 14 March 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Lowerhouses Lane, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lowerhouses Lane, Huddersfield from its junction with Longley Road to approximately 35 metres South West PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lowerhouses Lane, Longley Road, Hall Cross Road, Lowerhouses Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 February 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Holmfield, Clayton West, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Holmfield, Clayton West from a point outside property no. 5 Holmfield to a point outside property no. 7 Holmfield PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion required - road is a dead end.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 18 February 2025 and remain in force until 21 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Horn Lane, New Mill, Holmfirth) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Horn Lane, New Mill, at a point outside Stone Pit Hall, Horn Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Horn Lane, Penistone Road, Sude Hill, Horn Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 18 February 2025 and remain in force until 21 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(School Hill, Kirkburton, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of School Hill, Kirkburton, from a point outside property no. 8 School Hill to a point outside property no. 10 School Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via School Hill, Turnshaw Road, George Street - anti clockwise only.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 19 February 2025 and remain in force until 20 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Town Gate, Highburton, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Town Gate, Highburton from a point outside Far Dene to a point outside property no. 1A Town Gate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Far Dene, Penistone Road, North Road, Turnshaw Road, Paddock Road, Moor Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 February 2025 and remain in force until 21 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Green Slacks Lane, Scammonden, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Green Slacks Lane, Scammonden from its junction with Chapel Hill Lane to its junction with O’Cot Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pinfold Lane, Hey Lane, New Hey Road, O’Cot Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 3 March 2025 and remain in force for until 4 March 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Busker Lane, Scissett, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Busker Lane, Scissett from its junction with East Fold for approximately 50 metres West PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Busker Lane, Commercial Road, Huddersfield Road, Penistone Road, Abbey Road, Abbey Road North, Abbey Road South, Lane Head Road, Barnsley Road, Wakefield Road, Busker Lane and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 5 March 2025 and remain in force fpr approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(Low Town, Kirkburton, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Low Town, Kirkburton, from its junction with Riley Lane to a point outside Property no. 2 Low Town PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via North Road, Riley Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 3 March 2025 and remain in force until 28 March 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 


(West Slaithwaite Road/Crow Trees Road, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of West Slaithwaite Road/Crow Trees Road, Slaithwaite, from its junction with White Hill to Property no. 4 Crow Trees Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Crow Trees Road, Marsden Lane, Holme Lane, Shaw Fields Lane, White Hill and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 4 March 2025 20:00 hours and remain in force until 5 March 2025 06:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Booth Banks Road, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Booth Banks Road, Slaithwaite from its junction with Shawfield Lane to its junction with Crow Trees Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Shawfields Lane, Holme Lane, Marsden Lane, Crow Trees Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 7 March 2025 and remain in force for until 7 March 2025 between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00 nightly (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 


(Access To Rear Of 104/106 Lascelles Hall Road, Lascelles Hall, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Access To Rear of 104/106 Lascelles Hall Road, Lascelles Hall from, a point outside Access To Rear of 104/106 Lascelles Hall Road to its junction with Lascelles Hall Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lascelles Hall Road, Church Lane, School Lane, Albany Road, Waterloo Road, Wakefield Road, Quarry Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 7 March 2025 and remain in force until 9 March 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
