Englefield Road, Theale - Temporary Road Closure due to Pole Installation Work

WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

(THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

(ENGLEFIELD ROAD, THEALE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Englefield Road in Theale between its junction with A340 Pangbourne Road and its junction with Blossom Avenue.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Englefield Road, Church Street, The Green, A4 Bath Road/A340 Pangbourne Road Roundabout, A340 Road Known as Pangbourne Road and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Openreach to install six new telecommunication poles.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th February 2025. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 17th and 19th February 2025.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected.
