U9557 NELSON ROAD, MOORLAND WAY, CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Cramlington in the County of Northumberland.
U9557 Nelson Road from its junction with Moorland Way heading west for a distance of 22 metres.
U9557 Moorland Way from its point outside of the Industrial Unit Number 18h heading west for a distance of 110 metres then north for a distance of 100 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th March 2025 until the 7th September 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th March 2025 until the 9th March 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th September 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Nelson Road Cramlington. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete carriageway resurfacing and road marking works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
