(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
U6508 Woodhorn Road Back for its entire length of 83 metres.
U6508 Back Lintonville from its junction with Portland Way heading south for a distance of 85 metres.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th February 2025 until the 24th August 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 24th February 2025 until the 12th March 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 24th August 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carryout civils and carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
