What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
B1334 NORTH SEATON ROAD NEWBIGGIN-BY-THE-SEA
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1334 North Seaton Road Newbiggin-by-the-Sea from its junction with the A189 North Seaton Roundabout heading northwards for a distance of 860 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st February 2025 until the 3rd March 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 21st February 2025 until the 22nd February 2025 between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 05:00 hours during this period.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the A189 A197 B1334 and vice-versa, should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Colas Ltd on behalf of Parkdean Resorts UK Ltd to carryout carriageway patching and refresh the road markings. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
