What is happening?

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
OF ROAD SPEED HUMPS
(UNC ASH CRESCENT, SEAHAM)

In accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, Durham County Council, in exercise of their powers under Section 90G of the Highways Act 1980, propose to construct road speed cushions complying with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 on Unc Ash Crescent, Seaham. The scheme will comprise of six road speed humps in the following locations on Ash Crescent 1. adjacent to number 26 and 27 Parkside Crescent 2. adjacent to numbers 7 and 110 Ash Crescent 3. adjacent to numbers 19 and 102 Ash Crescent 4. adjacent to numbers 32 and 92 Ash Crescent 5. adjacent to numbers 42 and 83 Ash Crescent 6. adjacent to numbers 53, 72 and 73 Ash Crescent. Please refer to the plan attached to this notice for location, dimensions, layout and construction details of the road speed cushions. Full details of the proposal are available to view at Seaham Library during normal opening hours and via the council’s website. Any person wishing to object to the proposal should submit these in writing to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant, County Hall, Durham DH1 5UL or by email to Legal-Highways@durham.gov.uk (ref: 8327824) by 7/3/2025
