Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 491046 The Promenade and 490337 Regent Street, as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closure is to prohibit all traffic at all times from using the paved area of the Promenade and Regent Street in order to allow repairs to the York Stone and slabs.

The said road is expected to be closed from the 17th February 2025 until 17th August 2026 only. However, if the works need to continue after this time it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension to the closure. NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which would vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the proposed waiting restrictions detailed in the Schedule below:
