ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

 (TIFFIELD ROAD, CALDECOTE, TOWCESTER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Tiffield Road, Caldecote, Towcester as set out below. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Tiffield Road, Caldecote, Towcester from A5 to Walnut Barn.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to two days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Caldecote Road, High Street South, Old Tiffield Road, A43 and A5.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Greens Norton Road, Towcester and Mill Lane, Greens Norton as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Greens Norton Road, Towcester and Mill Lane, Greens Norton from Mill Bungalow to Abthorpe Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during vegetation removal and structure repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted for one day and then on 17th March 2025 until 4th April 2025..

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Abthorpe Road, Towcester Road, Bradden Road, High Street, The Green Greens Norton Road, Blakesley Road Blakesley Hill and High Street.
