What is happening?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL PROVISION OF PEDESTRIAN REFUGE ISLAND - PTRO804 OVERPOOL ROAD, ELLESMERE PORT.

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 23(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council is proposing to install a Pedestrian Refuge Island on Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port approximately 54 metres west of its junction with Chester Road. A location plan of the proposals is available for viewing at The Portal, Wellington Road, Ellesmere Port. CH65 0BA. Any person wishing to make comments on the proposals must do so in writing to the undersigned by the 6th of March 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO 18768 Upper Raby Road in Neston

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Neston Ward to enable A540 Junction Improvement Scheme works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Upper Raby Road: 24 HOUR ROAD CLOSURE from the junction with the A540 for approximately 50 metres Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 17th February 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that the works will take approximately twenty weeks to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic should proceed via Upper Raby Road, Raby Mere Road, Willaston Road, Birkenhead Road, Neston Road, Hanns Hall Road, Quarry Road, Chester High Road (Ref TRO 18768)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO 18773 Raby Park Road in Neston

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend two-way traffic on the following length of road in Neston to enable A540 Junction Improvement Scheme works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Raby Park Road: 24 HOUR TEMPORARY ONE WAY CLOSURE -Closed from the sports field access up to the A540 with no exit onto the A540 at the junction from Raby Park Road - one way access to traffic will only be available into Raby Park Road junction from the A540. Pedestrian access will be fully maintained - starting 17th February 2025 Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

TRO18695 NOTICE 1A GS (VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH OF CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO.1) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Cheshire West and Chester Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic during preparation works for, and the surface treatment works programme from the 10th February 2025 for a maximum of 18 months with the expectation that the works are anticipated to finish by October 2025.

It is anticipated that all roads in the below schedule will be closed for an estimated maximum of 14 days within the road closure notice period; the closure may be on consecutive days or on separate days depending upon site, weather conditions and works required.

Advanced Warning signs will be placed on site at least 5 days before the planned commencement of the works. Works will take place 7 days a week. Schedule of affected roads:

Alternative Routes for through traffic

Alternative routes will be provided for vehicles as per the signed diversion on site.

Information is also shown on the website 'One.Network' which informs of road closures and diversion routes.

Exemptions are provided in the order for any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes and also vehicles associated with the works and where possible for any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons, goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of road affected. TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(WHITE FRIARS AREA, CHESTER) (STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025

The effect of the Order will be to: Introduce:

a. Designated parking places operating 8.00am to 9.00pm for vehicles displaying a valid residents' parking permit (Zone B) on the following lengths of road .The proposed parking places will enable motor vehicles displaying valid resident parking permits (Zone B) to be left for an unlimited period of time.

i. Commonhall Street (south side) from a point 8 metres east of its junction with Weaver Street for a distance of 47 metres in an easterly direction.

ii. White Friars (north side) from a point 131 metres west of its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of 31 metres in a westerly direction.

iii. Cuppin Street (north side) from a point 15 metres east of the east side of Weaver Street for a distance of 16 metres in an easterly direction.

iv. Cuppin Street (north side) from a point 39 metres east of the east side of Weaver Street for a distance of 47 metres in an easterly direction.

b. Designated parking places operating 8.00am to 9.00pm for vehicles displaying a valid residents' parking permit (Zone B) on the following lengths of Weaver Street (east side).

The proposed parking places will enable motor vehicles displaying valid resident parking permits (Zone B) to be left for an unlimited period of time. Any motor vehicle may be left in the designated parking places for a period not exceeding 30 minutes with no return permitted within 1 hour.

i. From a point 7.5metres south of its junction with White Friars for a distance of 29 metres in a southerly direction.

ii. From a point 9 metres south of its junction with Commonhall Street to a point 11 metres north of its junction with White Friars.

iii. From a point 38 metres south of its junction with Watergate Street to a point 13 metres north of its junction with Commonhall Street.

c. Prohibition of waiting on the north side of White Friars from a point 79 metres west of Bridge Street for a distance of 33 metres in a westerly direction

Revoke:

a. The designated parking places operating 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on:

i. Commonhall Street (south side) from a point 8 metres east of its junction with Weaver Street for a distance of 42 metres in an easterly direction.

ii. White Friars (north side) from a point 79 metres west of its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of 33 metres in a westerly direction.

iii. Cuppin Street (north side) from a point 15 metres east of the east side of Weaver Street for a distance of 16 metres in an easterly direction.

iv. Cuppin Street (north side) from a point 39 metres east of the east side of Weaver Street for a distance of 47 metres in an easterly direction.

b. The limited waiting bay on White Friars (north side) from a point 131 metres west of its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of 31 metres in a westerly direction operating 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

c. The limited waiting bays on Weaver Street (east side): operating 8:00am to 6:00 pm:

i. From a point 7.5metres south of the south side of its junction with White Friars for a distance of 29 metres in a southerly direction.

ii. From a point 9 metres south of the south side of its junction with Commonhall Street to a point 11 metres north of the north side of its junction with White Friars.

iii. From a point 38 metres south of its junction with Watergate Street to a point 13 metres north of the north side of its junction with Commonhall Street.

Extend:

The disabled persons parking place on Commonhall Street (north side) from a point 37 metres east of the east side of Old Hall Place for a distance of 6.6 metres in an easterly direction operating 8.00am to 6.00pm.

Full details of the proposed restrictions are in the draft Order which, together with a plan showing the extents of the proposals, may be examined at the Council Offices, HQ, Nicholas Street, Chester between the hours of 9am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday and may be viewed in the Public Notices section of the Council's website. All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 7 March 2025 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations relating to the Orders should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.
