Rowley Bridleway 13 and Woodmansey Bridleway 30 - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OFYORKSHIRE COUNCIL (ROWLEY BRIDLEWAY 13 AND WOODMANSEY BRIDLEWAY 30) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along Rowley Bridleway 13 and Woodmansey Bridleway 30.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed highway construction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. There is no alternative route available for people affected by the closure. It was anticipated that the works would be completed within six months of the closure. However the works have not yet been completed and approval has been received from the Secretary of State for Transport for an extension of the order until 19 August 2025.
The Order will commence 18 February 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
