ST HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL
THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST HELENS (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PROVISION OF PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 12th day of February 2025, St Helens Borough Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III Schedule 9 of the aforesaid Act, made an Order to consolidate its existing Traffic Regulation Orders in so far as they relate to the prohibition of waiting and loading, and the provision of parking and loading bays on the highway.
The effect of the Order is that all Traffic Regulations pertaining to stationary vehicles are contained in a single Order. This Order is not designed to change the effect of any existing Regulations on site and will come into operation on 17lh February 2025.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Act 1984 or that any requirements of the Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose. A copy of the Order, including the Schedules to the Order, may be requested via traffic@sthelens.gov.uk or contact 01744 676398 to make an appointment to view relevant documents at the Town Hall Customer Hub.
