Suffolk, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Closure of Footway
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE FOOTWAY FROM THISTLEDOWN TO UPLANDS ROAD NORTH, LOWESTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the footway from Thistledown to Uplands Road North, Lowestoft to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Thistledown, Tenterden Close, Footway Between Tenterden Close and Uplands Road North, Uplands Road North and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/02/2025 - 06/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1428 WINNIPEG ROAD AND THE U6001 BERESFORD ROAD, LOWESTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
the U1428 Winnipeg Road, Lowestoft from the junction of the A1144 for 30 metres northbound
the U6001 Beresford Road, Lowestoft from the junction with the A1144 for 50 metres southbound
This is to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
for the U1428 Winnipeg Road: the A1144, the B1074 and vice versa
for the U6001 Beresford Road: Love Road, the A1144 Boston Road and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/02/2025 - 28/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C974 GEORGE WESTWOOD WAY, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 20mph speed restriction on the C974 George Westwood Way, Beccles from no. 1 for 40 metres northbound to facilitate building repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 24/02/2025 - 28/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
