What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH BISHOP’S STORTFORD 53 NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Bishop’s Stortford 53, heading south from Stortford Hall Park, for an approximate distance of 900m. Alternative route: via Stortford Hall Park and Dunmow Road The purpose of the Order is to enable repair works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 17 February 2025 for up to 1 week, when signs are in place. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CRICKETFIELD LANE, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2025 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cricketfield Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junctions with Barrells Down Road south westwards to its junction with Willow Close, a distance of approximately 390m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Barrells Down Road, B1004 Northgate End, A1250 Hadham Road and Cricketfield Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPELLBROOK LANE WEST, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2025 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Spellbrook Lane West, Sawbridgeworth from a point in line with the eastern boundary of ‘Inglis’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 48m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Spellbrook Lane West, A1184 (London Road/Cambridge Road), Parsonage Lane and Spellbrook Lane West. The Order is needed because water service connection is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHEERING MILL LANE, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2025 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sheering Mill Lane, Sawbridgeworth from a point 115m north west of its junction with Fairway north westwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Sheering Mill Lane, Fairway, Vantorts Road and Sheering Mill Lane. The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WEST ROAD, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2025 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West Road, Sawbridgeworth from a point in line with the eastern boundary of ‘Great Beazleys’ south westwards to a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Little Beazleys’, a distance of approximately 183m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via West Road, A1184 (London Road/Harlow Road), High Wych Road, High Wych Lane, Beanfield Road and West Road. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1038 PUMP HILL, BRENT PELHAM) ORDER 2025 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1038 Pump Hill, Brent Pelham from a point 101m south east of its junction with B1038 Conduit Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B1038 (Pump Hill/Conduit Lane/unnamed road), B1368 (unnamed road/Dassels Hill/Dassels/Hay Street/Green End/Station Road/Wickham Hill/ Buntingford Road), A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane/Stortford Road/Standon Road/Little Hadham Bypass/Hadham Road), A1250 (Hadham Road/ Link Road), B1004 (Northgate End/Rye Street/Michaels Road), B1383 (Stanstead Road/Pines Hill/Silver Street/ Cambridge Road/London Road/unnamed road/London Road/High Street) and B1038 (Wicken Road/unnamed road/ Clatterbury Lane/High Street/Pump Hill). The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
