What is happening?

BUS LANE ORDER 2024 (Order 52 of 2024)
Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 and Regulation 7 of the Local
Authorities Traffic Orders
(Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 as amended.
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that
on 10th February 2025 it made an Order under
section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers. The effects of the Order are set out below.
2. New bus lanes will be created on both sides of London Road, located between its junction with Hillrise and No. 550 London Road, operating between 7am and 10am and between 3pm and 7pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Vehicles such as buses, solo motorcycles, pedal cycles, taxis, private hire vehicles, electric scooters approved by the Council and vehicles with no tail pipe emissions will be exempted from the buslane prohibitions
3. The Order now comes into force on 14th February 2025.
4. Copies of the Order, this notice and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected free of charge at the Council’s offices during normal working hours (excluding bank and public holidays). They may also be inspected on the Council’s website on the public notice page; https://www.slough.gov.uk/consultations/petitions/public-notices-orders/3.
5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
