What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends in no less than seven days to make the following Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - the Salford City Council (SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (UNIVERSITY ROAD FOOTBRIDGE, SALFORD) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

The Order will close to pedestrians -
The University Road Footbridge over Salford Crescent Station.
The Order is necessary for works to be undertaken as part of the Salford Crescent Railway Station Project. Diversion routes - Pedestrians will be diverted via: University Road - Crescent - Albion Way and vice versa.
The Order is due to come into operation on the 7th of March 2025 and will continue in effect for a maximum period of 6 months depending on the progress of the works. 

A copy of the proposed Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. If unable to attend in person copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal address below.
