Stenson Road - Temporary Road Closure For Bridge Joint Replacement Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE STENSON ROAD, STENSON FIELDS
WHEN: 17 February to 21 February 2025 (20:00 to 05:00 each night - night working only.)
WHERE: Stenson Road, Stenson Fields from its Jct. with Wragley Way for an approx. distance of 1km south.
REASON: To facilitate bridge joint replacement works on structure over A50.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stenson Road, A5111: Kenilworth Avenue, Osmaston Park Road, A514: Osmaston Road, Chellaston Road, Derby Road, Swarkestone Road, Derby Road, A5132: Barrow Lane, Swarkestone Road, Twyford Road, Unnamed Road from Twyford Road to Buckford Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
