What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

CANNON ROAD N14 AND MYDDELTON AVENUE EN1, COSGROVE CLOSE N21, CHASE RIDINGS N21 AND PICKETTS LOCK LANE N9 - 4438

Reason for 14(1) Order – Highway Works

Operational Date and Times:
Cannon Road N14 – "At Any time" on 17 February 2025 for 5 days or until works are completed;
Cosgrove Close N21 – At Any time on 3 March 2025 for 3 weeks or until works are completed;
Chase Ridings EN2 – At Any time on 6 March for 1 day or until works are completed;
Myddelton Avenue EN1 – At Any time on 12 March 2025 for 3 nights or until works are completed;
Picketts Lock Lane N9 – Between 21:00 hours on 11 March 2025 and 02:00 hours on 12 March 2025 for 1 night or until works are completed.
NOTE: [This notice supersedes the notice of the same title published on 5 February 2023 which contained typographical errors that have now been corrected.]

The general effect of the Order will be to:

  • Cannon Road N14 – Suspend parking on both sides of this road from outside Nos. 9/11 Cannon Road to the northeastern flank wall of No. 21 Cannon Road;

  • Cosgrove Close N21 – Close this road and suspend parking on both sides of the road from its junction with Barrowell Green N21 (whole Road);

  • Chase Ridings EN2 – Suspend parking on both sides of the road between Valley Fields Crescent to Havenhurst Place EN2;

  • Myddelton Avenue EN1 – Close this road and suspend parking on both sides of the carriageway, from its junction with Carterhatch Lane to its junction with Baker Street. While Myddelton Avenue is closed, local diversions will be in operation;

  • Picketts Lock Lane N9 – Close this road and suspend parking between Montagu Road and Meridian Way N9. While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.

    GREEN STREET EN3 – 4439

    Reason for 14(1) Order – Utility Works

    • Operational Date and Times:

      "At Any time" on 17 February 2025 for 2 days or until works are completed.

    • General Effect of the Order:

      Suspend parking on this road, between Nos. 30/32 and Nos. 58/60, on both sides of the road.

    HASELWOOD DRIVE EN2 – 4440

    Reason for 14(1) Order – Highway Works

    • Operational Date and Times:

      "At Any time" on 17 February 2025 for 3 days or until works are completed.

    • General Effect of the Order:

      Close this road, from its junction with Crescent Road to No. 2 Haselwood Drive. While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.

    LOVELL ROAD EN1 – 4441

    Reason for 14(1) Order – Water Works

    • Operational Date and Times:

      "At Any time" on 18 February 2025 for 4 days or until works are completed.

    • General Effect of the Order:

      • Close this road from Nos. 8/9 Lovell Road, for approximately 16 metres westwards.

      • Suspend parking on both sides of this road, from outside No. 7 Lovell Road, for approximately 30 metres westwards. While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.

    LOWDEN ROAD N9 – EM15

    Reason for 14(1) Order – Water Works

    • Operational Date and Times:

      "At Any time" on 10 February 2025 for 16 days.

    • General Effect of the Order:

      Suspend parking on both sides of this road, from its junction with Hertford Road N9, south-eastwards for approximately 40 metres.

      CHASE ROAD N14 – EM16

      Reason for 14(1) Order – Water Works

      • Operational Date and Times:

        "At Any time" on 9 February 2025 for 2 days.

      • General Effect of the Order:

        Close this road, from Nos. 58/60 Chase Road to the northern flank wall of No. 68 Chase Road. While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.

      The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by traffic signs. Access will be maintained only as far as the works allow.
