Whaley Road - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WHALEY ROAD, LANGWITH

WHEN: 06 March to 07 March 2025
WHERE: Whaley Road, Langwith at a point 365m north west of its Jct. with the A632.
REASON: To facilitate telegraph pole renewal works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Whaley Road (from point of closure), Norwood Lane, Cockshut Lane, Portland Road, Limes Avenue, A632, Whaley Road (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
