What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TRAVIS STREET/ST GEORGES AVENUE,
BRIDLINGTON (PARTS))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along parts of Travis Street/
St Georges Avenue, Bridlington between the hours of:
08.00 - 17.00 hours.
• Phase 1 - St Georges Avenue/Travis Street between
the junctions of Wellington Road and North Street.
• Phase 2 - Travis Street between the junctions of
North Street and Marshall Avenue.
The reason for the closures is to enable the proposed
carriageway maintenance works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 21 February 2025. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the Order is via:
• Phase 1 - Wellington Road, Tennyson Avenue,
Hollyrood Avenue, Travis Street and vice versa.
• Phase 2 - Hollyrood Avenue, Tennyson Avenue,
Wellington Road, St Georges Avenue, Travis Street
and vice versa.
The roads will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 17 February 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
