The roads will be closed on up to 5 separate occasions, with
each occasion lasting no longer than 3 consecutive days.
Works may occur on a weekend. This process is weather
dependant and as such exact dates for each location cannot
be given.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th April 2025.
WIKE GATE ROAD THORNE DONCASTER

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding or
waiting in that length of Wike Gate Road at Thorne in the City
of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this
notice on the dates and times referred to in the
said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public
and the workforce whilst works for traffic calming scheme
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Travis Avenue, Haynes Road,
Miller Lane, Southfield Road and vice versa.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed
by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being
