What is happening?

C61 OUTCHESTER JUNCTION TO HUMBLETON HILL JUNCTION SPINDLESTONE AND U2005 ADDERSTONE GRANGE JUNCTION TO OUTCHESTER JUNCTION BELFORD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland.
Road Closures:
● C61 Outchester Junction to Humbleton Hill Junction from its junction with B1342 heading eastwards for a distance of 600 metres.
● U2005 Adderstone Grange Junction To Outchester Junction from its junction with C61 heading southwards for a distance of 1475 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th February 2025 until the 7th March 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 19th February 2025 until the 28th February 2025, the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th March 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1342, U2009, U2010, C61, B1341, U2008 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre to clear a blockage and carry out trench works for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
