C424 BERWICK BRIDGE BERWICK-UPON-TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions have continued to be in force on the C424 Berwick Bridge Berwick-upon-Tweed in the County of Northumberland.
Temporary Road Closure:-
A temporary road closure will continue to be in force and all users will be prohibited to use the C424 Berwick Bridge Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with the U107 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 290 metres in the County of Northumberland.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst this Emergency Road Closure Notice is in force being via the U111, A1167, C424 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
This Order came into force on the 10th February 2025 and will remain in force until the 1st October 2025.
It is expected that the road however will only be closed between 10th February until the 29th March 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out parapet/bridge repairs. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
