(Burns Avenue, Dean Road, Kilmarnock - New Farm Loch) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

On 11 February 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order in the interest of Road Safety

No Waiting At Any Time - Burns Avenue, Dean Road, Kilmarnock - New Farm Loch Burns Avenue:

• From a point of the northwest extended gable end of No 1. Glasgow Road, on the northeast sideof carriageway running northwest for a distance of 18.5 metres to terminate at extended northwest kerbline of Glasgow Road.

• From a point if the northwest extended gable end of No 1. Glasgow Road, on the southwest side of the carriageway, running northwest for a distance of 13.5 metres, then extending southwest for 8 metres onto Beansburn.

• From a point 10 metres northwest of the extended northeast kerbline of junction with Landsborough Drive, on the northeast side of the carriageway, running southeast for a distance of 10 metres, then extending 10 metres northeast onto Landsborough Drive.

• From a point 10 metres northwest of the extended southwest kerbline of junction with Landsborough Drive, on the northeast side of the carriageway, running southeast for a distance of 10 metres, then extending 10 metres southwest onto Landsborough Drive.

Dean Road:
• From a point 20 metres north of the extended northwest kerbline of junction with South Dean Road, on the west side of the carriageway, running south for a distance of 20 metres, then extending 10 metres southwest along South Dean Road.

• From a point 10 metres east of the extended east kerbline of junction with South Dean Road, on the north side of the carriageway, running west for a distance of 10 metres, then running for a distance of 150 metres along the northwest side of the carriageway to the extended northeast kerbline of junction of Otterburn Avenue, then extending a distance of 10 metres northeast into Otterburn Avenue.

• From a point 10 metres north of the extended northwest kerbline of junction with Otterburn Avenue, running southwest for a distance of 10 metres, then running west for a distance of 300 metres terminating at Dean Castle Lodge access road. 

• From a point 10 metres west of the extended northwest kerbline of Otterburn Avenue, on the south side of the carriageway, extending southeast for a distance of 32 metres.

• From a point 76 metres southeast of extended northeast kerbline with exit lane of Dean Castle Country Park car park, on the southwest side of the carriageway running southeast for a distance of 6 metres.

• From a point of the northwest extended kerbline of Dean Castle Lodge access road, on the north side of the carriageway, running northwest for a distance of 66 metres.

• From a point 10.5 metres southeast of the extended southeast kerbline of Esson Place, on the south side of the carriageway, running northwest for a distance of 10.5 metres, then extending southwest into Esson Place for a distance of 12.5 metres.

• From a point 11.5 metres northwest of the extended northwest kerbline of Esson Place, on the south side of the carriageway, running southeast for a distance of 11.5 metres, then extending southwest into Esson Place for a distance of 12.5 metres.

• From a point 15.5 metres southeast of the extended southeast kerbline of Ingram Place, on the south side of the carriageway, running northwest for a distance of 15.5 metres, then extending southwest into Ingram Place for a distance of 15 metres. 

• From a point 8 metres northwest of the extended northwest kerbline of Ingram Place, on the south side of the carriageway, running south east for a distance of 8 metres, then extending southwest into Ingram Place for a distance of 15 metres.

• From a point 30 metres southeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Landsborough Drive, on the north side of the carriageway, running northwest for a distance of 30 metres, then extending northeast into Landsborough Drive for a distance of 17.5 metres.

• From a point 10 metres northwest of the extended northwest kerbline of Landsborough Drive, on the north side of the carriage way, running southeast for a distance of 10 metres, then extending northeast into Landsborough Drive for a distance of 15 metres.

The Order commences on 25 February 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months. From 25 February 2025 at 00:01 with the restrictions remaining in place until 25 August 2026 at 23:59.

Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.


South Ayrshire Council (C1,Straiton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 

On 06 February 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Carriageway Resurfacing

Temporary Road Closure – C1
From Newton Stewart Road Straiton South to Council Boundary North East of Loch Moan, Straiton, 2000m approx. 

The Order commences on 24 February 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 24 February 2025 at 08:00 until 07 March 2025 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected.

Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via C1 North to Straiton turning left onto B741 following onto Dailly onto the B7035 to Old Dailly then B734 turning left onto B7035 @ Brae Toll, follow onto the roundabout at the A77 and take the 1st exit onto the A714, follow the A714 until Bargrennan and turn left onto the C1 towards the work site and vice versa.
