Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025
Blackfen Road, Sidcup - Notice of Making an Order
The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic on Blackfen Road, Sidcup from the junction with Sycamore Road to the junction with Westwood Lane, Sidcup
- Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Blackfen Road, Sidcup from the junction with Sycamore Road to the junction with Westwood Lane, Sidcup (both sides of the road)
- Access to Gloucester Parade at all times.
The Order will come into effect on 13 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 working days – these works are from 19:00 - 02:00.
Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
- Wellington Avenue, The Oval, Willersley Avenue, Halfway Street, Avery Hill Road, Bexley Road, Blackfen Road and reversed.
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Howbury Lane, Erith - Notice of Intention
The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Howbury Lane from outside number 88 to the junction with Whitehall Lane, Erith
- No waiting, no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Howbury Lane from outside number 88 to the junction with Whitehall Lane, Erith
The Order will come into effect on 26 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
Whilst the works are in progress, alternative routes will be available via:
- Howbury Lane, Thames Road (A206), Northend Road (A206), Bridge Road, Whitehall Lane and reverse
- Thames Road 4th exit, Thames Road 4th exit, northbound on Northend Road, U-turn at roundabout, southbound on Northend Road, Bridge Road, Whitehall Lane and reverse
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025
Abbey Road, Belvedere - Notice of Making an Order
The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Morrison Water Services Ltd to undertake a meter exchange in the carriageway opposite No. 9 Abbey Road, Belvedere. The effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic in Abbey Road, Belvedere from the junction with St. Augustine’s Road to 15 Abbey Road, Belvedere.
The Order will come into effect on 18 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 days.
Whilst the works are in progress, alternative routes will be provided via:
- St Augustine’s Road, Heron Hill, Woolwich Road, New Road, Abbey Road, and reverse.
Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
