What is happening?

YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BOOTHFERRY ROAD, EASTBOUND, GOOLE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Boothferry Road, Goole Eastbound between Mariners Street and the
Level Crossing commencing:
• 08.00 hours Monday 24 February 2025 until 17.00 hours on Friday 28 February 2025
• 08.00 hours Monday 12 May 2025 until
17.00 hours on Friday 16 May 2025
• 08.00 hours Monday 19 May 2025 until
17.00 hours on Friday 23 May 2025
• 08.00 hours Monday 23 June 2025 until
17.00 hours on Friday 27 June 2025
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 20 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Mariners Street, Stanhope Street, Stanhope Street Layby, Clock Tower Roundabout, Carlisle Street, Burlington Crescent, Edinburgh Street, Vermuyden Way and Boothferry Road.
Westbound traffic unaffected. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
