ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C94 Marley Lane, Battle)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Marley Lane – from the junction with P6823 Rutherfords to the junction with U6330 Harrier Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C94 Marley Lane – A2100 Upper Lake, High Street, Ten Sixty-Six roundabout, London Road – A21(T) Vinehall Road, Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road – C94 Marley Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2204 Horns Corner, Catsfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Horns Corner – from the junction with B2204 Tellis Coppice to the junction with B2204 The Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2204 Tellis Coppice – A271 Kitchenham Road – A269 Standard Hill, High Street, The Green – B2204 Catsfield Road, The Stream, The Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A28 Cackle Street, Brede)

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Cackle Street – from the junction with A28 Northiam Road to the junction with C21 Pottery Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Northiam Road, Horns Cross, Well House Hill, Perryman Cross, Hastings Road, Main Street, Station Road – A28 Rye Road (KCC) – A268 Rye Road (KCC), Queen Street (KCC), Sharps Hill (KCC), Rye Road (KCC) – A229 Highgate Hill (KCC), Horns Road (KCC), Horns Hill (KCC) – A229 Horns Hill, Coopers Corner – A21(T) London Road, Silverhill, Northbridge Street roundabout, Robertsbridge bypass, Johns Cross Road, Vinehall Road, Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road, New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede Road, Brede Hill, Cackle Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3252 Frederick Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Frederick Road – from the junction with C551 Priory Road to the junction with U3255 Farley Bank.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3252 Frederick Road – B2093 The Ridge, Old London Road – A259 Old London Road – C551 Priory Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 28 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6418 Hog Hill, Icklesham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hog Hill – from the junction with U6966 Windmill Lane to the junction with U6418 Wickham Rock Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for the duration of the works via U6966 Windmill Lane, Workhouse Lane – A259(T) Main Road, Hastings Road – C298 Monks Walk and vice versa. The Order commences 24 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 and 25 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6621 Lordine Lane, Ewhurst Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Lordine Lane – from the junction with U6935 Sempstead Lane to the junction with B2165 Northiam Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6935 Sempstead Lane – C97 Adams Lane – B2165 Northiam Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 21 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 24 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Adams Lane – from the junction with U6935 Sempstead Lane to the junction with B2165 Northiam Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6935 Sempstead Lane – U6621 Lordine Lane – B2165 Northiam Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 21 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 24 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Elphinstone Road – from the junction with A2101 Park Gates roundabout to the junction with C457 Mount Pleasant Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2101 Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place, Fountain roundabout, Breeds Place, Pelham Place, Sturdee Place, Marine Parade, East Parade, East Beach Street, The Bourne, Old London Road – C551 Priory Road – C457 Mount Pleasant Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 27 and 28 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A2101 St Helens Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

St Helens Road – from the junction with U3040 King Edward Avenue to the junction with U3028 Ghyllside Drive.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via A2101 St Helens Road, Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place, Carlisle Parade, White Rock, Verulam Place, Eversfield Place, Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – A21 London Road, Sedlescombe Road North – A2101 St Helens Road and westbound via A2101 St Helens Road – A21 Sedlescombe Road North, London Road – A2102 London Road, Norman Road, Warrior Square – A259 Grand Parade, Eversfield Place, Verulam Place, White Rock, Carlisle Parade, Denmark Place – A2101 Albert Road, Queens Road, Park Gates roundabout, St Helens Road.

The Order commences 24 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 28 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Traffic Regulation Order 2020 Amendment Order 202* No* NOTICE is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1(1). 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(2), 32, 35(1) and (3), 45, 46, 49, 51, 52 and 53 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2024, and after the consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act which would introduce various restrictions in the following lengths of road in Robertsbridge:

Additions to Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time – ROBERTSBRIDGE: Knelle Road, Langham Road.
