THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD

(A30, LONDON ROAD, SUNNINGDALE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect of which will be to:

Prohibit any vehicle or pedestrian from proceeding along that part of the A30 London Road, Sunningdale between its junctions with the B383 Broomhall Lane and Ridgemount Road.

The diversion route for traffic is from the A30 junction with Grove End (slip road) to the A322, southbound past junction 3 of the M3, to the junction with the A319 Bagshot Road. The diversion route continues eastwards, via the A319 Vicarage Road, to Chobham following the B383 Windsor Road, then northwards via the B383 Chobham Road, to rejoin the A30 at Sunningdale. For vehicles over 7.5 Tonnes, there will be an alternative diversion in place via the M25 & M3.

The purpose of the Order is to facilitate works on the said road, namely to allow Network Rail to carry out maintenance works on the level crossing, and therefore there is the likelihood of danger to the public.

The Order shall be in operation from 00.30 hours on Saturday 15th February until 05.00 hours on Monday 17th February 2025 and may be cited as the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (A30, London Road, Sunningdale) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025, which shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or such other periods as may be agreed, to allow for further necessary level crossing maintenance at such times when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.

If you wish to have more information about this proposed Order, please contact Centurion Traffic on behalf of Network Rail on 01132 775360.
