Bridge Street, Winchester - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Main Replacement

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – B3404 BRIDGE STREET, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Bridge Street between its junction with Chesil Street and its junction with Magdalen Hill.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3404, A31, B3330.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 15th February 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 8 days, working between the hours 08:00-20:00 and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for I & G Contractors to carry out gas main replacement. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order, please contact: kacirussell@igcontractorsltd.com  

I & G Contractors will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
