What is happening?

The Kingston Upon Hull City Council
(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

OXFORD STREET (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Oxford Street, from Barmston Street for approx 40m, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway repair works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 10th March 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 9am and 3.30pm on 10th March 2025.

Brighton Street/Witty Street Roundabout

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along the Brighton Street and Witty Street Roundabout, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway resurfacing works. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 7th March 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7pm and 6am commencing 7th March 2025 until 11th March 2025.

Derringham Street/Argyle Street Bridge/ Stanley Street

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:- Derringham Street, from Crystal Street to Spring Bank; Argyle Street (bridge).

The one way system on Stanley Street between Spring Bank and Morton Street, will become a two way system for the duration of the closure.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 24th February 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in 4 phases, between 24th February 2025 to 30th March 2025.

Anlaby Road, Junction With Ferensway

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Anlaby Road at the junction of Ferensway, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to plane and resurface existing carriageway and replace road markings.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 21st February 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed nightly between 6.30pm and 6am commencing 21st February 2025 until 23rd February 2025.
