Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Belsteads Farm Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Domsey Lane to its junction with Sunningdale Lane a distance of approximately 160m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2379108 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Pratts Farm Lane, Pratts Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Channels Drive Roundabout, Channels Drive, Albatross Way, Belsteads Farm Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Holybread Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holybread Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 25m south west of its junction with Rysley for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013322957 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Holybread Lane, North Hill, Colam Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Leighs Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Leighs Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 110m north east of its junction with Wheelers Hill for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th March 2025 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013323794 – Essex And Suffolk Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Leighs Road, Boreham Road, Drakes Lane, Wheelers Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Old Wickford Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Wickford Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 15m south west of its junction with Fennfields Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004205 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while refurbishment works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Pratts Farm Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pratts Farm Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Exit From Chelmer Valley Park And Ride to its junction with Domsey Lane a distance of approximately 760m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on avalid permit (EP201EH2379069 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(South Hanningfield Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Hanningfield Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Giffords Lane to its junction with Warren Lane a distance of approximately 805m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373289 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while verge maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via South Hanningfield Road, Main Road, Rettendon Turnpike, Runwell Road, Church End Lane, Brock Hill, Hawkswood Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wheelers Hill, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wheelers Hill, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m east of its junction with Wheelers Farm Roundabout for a distance of approximately 125m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFRK079M – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Wheelers Hill, Wheelers Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Sheepcotes Roundabout, Braintree Road, Strawbrook Hill, Great Leighs Bypass, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout South, Main Road, Boreham Road, Drakes Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bellmead, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (New London Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Bellmead, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with New London Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a north westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the bus lane on New London Road, Chelmsford, from its junction with Parkway to its junction with Bellmead as cited in ‘The Essex County Council (New London Road, Chelmsford) (Contraflow Bus Lane) Order 2023’.
The closure and suspension are scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 1 night (22:00-05:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011988 – Smart Platforms LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure and suspension are required for the safety of the public and workforce while building maintenance works are undertaken by Smart Platforms LTD.
An alternative route is available via New London Road, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Baddow Road, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South.

(Brock Hill, Chelmsford/Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brock Hill, Chelmsford/Wickford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 495m south east of the junction with Sudbury Road for a distance of approximately 290m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS431736/BC008PTMS43173601 – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Creephedge Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Creephedge Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Leighams Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30015346720 – UK Power Networks).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Ingatestone Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ingatestone Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 125m south east of its junction with Blackmore Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA79015919SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Swan Lane, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Swan Lane, Ingatestone in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with High Street for a distance approximately 1870m in a north westerly then north easterly then north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377454 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via High Street, Stock Road, Stock Road A12 Flyover, Stock Road, Margaretting Road, London Hill, Maldon Road, Swan Lane and vice versa.

(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.6) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 30th January 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public.
Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
