HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HAREFIELD ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harefield Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Woodcock Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 285m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Harefield Road, A404 (London Road/Rickmansworth Road), A4180 Ducks Hill Road, Breakspear Road, Breakspear Road South, Breakspear Road North, Rickmansworth Road and Harefield Road.
The Order is needed because utility repair and maintenance works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON RUDOLPH ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects on the following lengths of road (“the lengths of Road”) will be:
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rudolph Road, Bushey from its junction with Herkomer Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 27m, except for access.
- An alternative route will be via Herkomer Road, Falconer Road, A411 High Street, and Rudolph Road.
The existing one-way traffic system on Rudolph Road, Bushey from its junction with Herkomer Road south westwards to its junction with A411 High Street, a distance of approximately 272m, will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHEEPCOT LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of Sheepcot Lane, Watford from its junction with A405 North Orbital Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A405 North Orbital Road, Horseshoe Lane, High Road, and Sheepcot Lane.
The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF EASTGLADE, NORTHWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Eastglade, Northwood from its junction with Holbein Gate north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because sewer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK AVENUE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of Park Avenue, Watford from its junction with Mildred Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 18m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Park Avenue, Whippendell Road, A4178 Cassio Road, A412 Rickmansworth Road, and Park Avenue.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing water hydrant is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD, OXHEY AND ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
That length of Ashby Road, Watford from its junction with Sussex Road north eastwards to its junction with Gammons Lane, a distance of approximately 215m.
- An alternative route will be via Sussex Road, Brighton Road, and Gammons Lane.
That length of Bramleas, Watford from its junction with Cherrydale southwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
That length of Burton Avenue, Watford from its junction with Durban Road West southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 129m.
- An alternative route will be via Durban Road West, Southsea Road, and Whippendell Road.
That length of Charlock Way, Watford from its junction with Vicarage Road north westwards, north eastwards, and north westwards to its junction with Tolpits Lane, a distance of approximately 451m.
- An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, High View, and Tolpits Lane.
That length of Cherrydale, Watford from its junction with Hagden Lane south westwards, north westwards, and south westwards to its junction with Savannah Court, a distance of approximately 124m.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
That length of Combe Road, Watford from its junction with High View north eastwards to its junction with Charlock Way, a distance of approximately 163m.
- An alternative route will be via High View, Tolpits Lane, and Charlock Way.
That length of Comyne Road, Watford from its junction with Chilcott Road north eastwards for its entire length.
- An alternative route will be via Chilcott Road, Courtlands Drive, and Hudson Close.
That length of Cross Road, Oxhey/Watford from its junction with Paddock Close north eastwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
That length of Desmond Road, Watford from its junction with Rosebriar Walk south eastwards to its junction with Comyne Road, a distance of approximately 142m.
- An alternative route will be via Rosebriar Walk, Chilcott Road, and Comyne Road.
That length of Elfrida Road, Watford from its junction with Neal Street south eastwards to its junction with Lammas Road, a distance of approximately 149m.
- An alternative route will be via Neal Street, Tucker Street, Watford Field Road, and Lammas Road.
- An alternative route will be via Lower Paddock Road, Villiers Road, A411 Chalk Hill, and King Edward Road.
- An alternative route will be via A411 Chalk Hill, King Edward Road, and Cross Road.
- An alternative route will be via High View, Combe Road, and Charlock Way.
- That length of High View, Watford from its junction with Tolpits Lane south eastwards to its junction with Vicarage Road, a distance of approximately 470m.
- An alternative route will be via Tolpits Lane, Charlock Way, and Vicarage Road.
- That length of King Edward Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Chalk Hill south eastwards to its junction with Cross Road, a distance of approximately 245m.
- An alternative route will be via A411 Chalk Hill, Haydon Road, and Cross Road.
- That length of Neal Street, Watford from its junction with Tucker Street north eastwards to its junction with Roberts Road, a distance of approximately 111m.
- An alternative route will be via Tucker Street and Roberts Road.
- That length of Poplars Close, Watford from its junction with Louvain Way north eastwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
- That length of Regent Street, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards to its junction with Leavesden Road, a distance of approximately 290m.
- An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, Longspring, and Leavesden Road.
- That length of Roberts Road, Watford from its junction with Tucker Street north westwards to its junction with Neal Street, a distance of approximately 63m.
- An alternative route will be via Tucker Street and Neal Street.
- That length of Rosebriar Walk, Watford from its junction with Chilcott Road north eastwards for its entire length.
- An alternative route will be via Chilcott Road, Comyne Road, and Desmond Road.
- That length of Rosecroft Drive, Watford from its junction with The Ridgeway eastwards to its junction with Courtlands Drive, a distance of approximately 258m.
- An alternative route will be via The Ridgeway, Wimborne Grove, and Courtlands Drive.
- That length of Southsea Avenue, Watford from its junction with Durban Road West southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 200m.
- An alternative route will be via Durban Road West, Mildred Avenue, Harwoods Road, and Whippendell Road.
- That length of Swiss Avenue, Watford from its junction with Cassiobury Park Avenue south westwards to its junction with Gade Avenue, a distance of approximately 318m.
- An alternative route will be via Cassiobury Park Avenue and Gade Avenue.
- That length of Tucker Street, Watford from its junction with Neal Street north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Watford Field Road, a distance of approximately 150m.
- An alternative route will be via Neal Street, Elfrida Road, Lammas Road, and Watford Field Road.
- That length of Wimborne Grove, Watford from its junction with The Ridgeway north eastwards to its junction with Courtlands Drive, a distance of approximately 192m.
- An alternative route will be via The Ridgeway, Rosecroft Avenue, and Courtlands Drive.
- That length of High Elms Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Woodside Road south eastwards to its junction with A405 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 1257m.
- An alternative route will be via Chequers Lane and A405 St Albans Road.
- That length of Chequers Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Woodside Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A405 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 1309m.
- An alternative route will be via Woodside Road, Horseshoe Lane, and A405 St Albans Road.
- That length of Upper Highway, Abbots Langley from its junction with Gallows Hill north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Hamilton Road, a distance of approximately 152m.
- An alternative route will be via Upper Highway, Hunton Bridge Hill, Hamilton Road, and Gallows Hill.
