THE OLDHAM - LINNEY LANE SHAW TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SCARR LANE SHAW SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ORDER 2025

The Oldham Borough Council on 3rd February 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Linney Lane Shaw from a point 45 metres north east of its junction with Rutland Way for 55 metres north easterly and to suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction limit on Scarr Lane from Linney Lane to Hillside Avenue. The alternative route is via Scarr Lane, Hillside Avenue, Grains Road, Beal Lane, Rochdale Road and Crompton Way.

The Order is to be made to allow Eurogold Groundworksconstruction and connection works for housing development and will be in force for 3 weeks from 10th February 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
